My hubby and I are launching our blog really soon and one of the things that's helped us is your video series on Wordpress. I love this blog of yours already and have subscribed to the feeds. Thanks so much for giving such great content, it's much appreciated.

Great to chat. I did offer my case studies absolutely free although I don't think it has to be that way to work.

That's great feedback Brandon. Thanks again.

Love the case studies thing. Is that something you offered for free?

Michael,

Your questions are welcome. As far as relationship building. I started networking at events. I made a list of the most influential people that I knew and reached out to them regarding what I am doing. The other thing I did was actively pursued some case studies that I could take through my process so I could see what worked and what didn't and most of all get some testimonials.

I have some information products that I have started to put together. Should be ready to launch within the next couple of weeks.

<em>>>> I would attribute initial success to offline relationships and actively going out and looking to provide as much real value for people as possible. </em>

Care to share any specifics on how you did that? Sorry for all the questions ... I'm sort of curious about these things :-)

<em>>>> My blog hasn't been completely useless, I have a decent amount of visitors and the number goes up every month but there is very little actual money that I can attribute to my blog. Would love to start changing that however.</em>

Have you considered creating some information products to sell?

Michael,

I would attribute initial success to offline relationships and actively going out and looking to provide as much real value for people as possible. This helped to get the word out. My blog hasn't been completely useless, I have a decent amount of visitors and the number goes up every month but there is very little actual money that I can attribute to my blog. Would love to start changing that however.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words Brandon. I'm curious ... if not your blog, to what do you attribute the success of your business? In other words, what is working for you?

I initially launched my blog as a way to get some exposure and get my content out there. Now that I have done that, I am definitely feeling like there is more my blog could be doing financially. While my business is doing well it's not because of my blog and that's shame. Great post and something to think about for me going forward.
